This one was gotten near the river at the Paradise Flumes (near Paradise, CA). It just looked like a good subject and I made it good by adjusting the camera settings just right so that it wouldn't be overexposed. I tend to worry too much about overexposure and underexpose an image, and then later find out that as I try to lighten it in software, there is more noise than necessary due to the lack of a certain amount of light hitting the sensor. This one doesn't suffer too much from noise after lightening it and adding a diffusion filter through software, and to me it looks just right for that subject.
