Hi, I'm Brad Gibson, and I live in Chico, California. My photography business just started after I was tired of just taking photographs and people telling me that I should start a photography business, until I decided to start one myself. This is how it all started. I guess I had a knack for drawing when I was about 5 years old, since a baby sitter that must have been at least 6 years older said that I was really good at drawing. That was really encouraging, and it gave me a leg up on my journey to belief in myself and the talents that God had given me. I really like it when people encourage me. My belief in myself is built on encouragement of people and God's ability to move me forward during trying times and discouragement from everything that is against God's will in my life. I always knew I was good at art from then on, but never really pursued it outside of school environment until after high school. During high school, I was given a film camera to take pictures of students' activity with during the class, and I remember feeling that if I'm going to take pictures of people, I should do a good job and represent them well, but I don't think I actually took any pictures because I didn't know enough about the camera and lens to take good pictures. However, when my family got a 1.4 megapixel digital P&S (point and shoot) camera, I was thrilled to take it out and take pictures of flowers and what not. It seemed to be the perfect tool for my hobby, as it instantly shows the picture you have taken and you can instantly delete one if you don't like it. That basically was the beginning of my hobby, and just recently at the end of 2012 some people talked to me about making money off my passions. People had mentioned they would be willing to buy things like calendars from me, etc., but when people showed how passionate they were about my own photography, that's when I said I can't put up anymore with not selling something they love so much. Not only do I love it, but people love it as well as I do.
